Jessica Lee of Chicago UPS Store is a visionary entrepreneur, passionate business consultant, and committed community advocate based in Chicago. As the owner of two UPS stores in the Northside, Jessica has built a successful business empire centered on her core values of empowerment, inclusion, and social impact. A proud single mother of two and a member of the deaf community, Jessica’s life story is one of overcoming personal challenges, breaking barriers, and creating opportunities for others who are often overlooked. Originally from South Korea, Jessica immigrated to the United States with her family to pursue a better life. As the first in her family to venture into business ownership, she encountered many obstacles—but through her perseverance and strong work ethic, she has grown her business into a thriving operation. Over the years, Jessica has focused on creating spaces that provide meaningful work for individuals from marginalized communities, including the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, and those seeking a fresh start. Her businesses are more than just profitable ventures—they are platforms for inclusion, opportunity, and social change. Jessica’s education reflects her multifaceted approach to business. She studied biochemistry, business law, and accounting at the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) and DePaul University. She later earned an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she has the financial expertise to run successful businesses while ensuring that her values of ethical leadership and community engagement remain at the forefront of everything she does. Before transitioning into the UPS franchise model, Jessica’s entrepreneurial journey took her through various businesses in the hospitality and nightlife industry. She owned and managed several nightclubs, restaurants, and bars in her late twenties. These ventures taught her critical leadership, operations, and customer service lessons. Most importantly, they solidified her belief that businesses should be environments where people are encouraged to grow, innovate, and thrive—no matter their background. Jessica’s approach to entrepreneurship blends traditional business acumen with a deep sense of social responsibility. By creating inclusive workplaces and offering opportunities to those in need, she has become a role model for others who believe business can be profitable and purposeful.
