I am a "What you see is what you get," type of person. However, as you will eventually realize, there is more to me than "meets the eye." Nevertheless, I am ME! I do not, and will not, pretend to be someone else. I am unique, as are you, and every individual person, in this world. I just recently read an article in the Scientific American magazine about Susan Cain's book, "The Power of Introverts: A Manifesto for Quiet Brilliance," and the following quote jumped off the page: "Whenever you try to pass as something you're not, you lose a part of yourself along the way." I don't know about you, but for me, I don't want to lose any part of myself! In addition to being just me, I enjoy many things. Moreover, I also have a strong desire and passion for one thing in particular. I love my family and friends with a deep intense passion. I also love to read, write, help others whenever I can, sing, play guitar, and soak up all that is availalble to me in learning about who we are, what makes us who we are, how we are wired, etc. In short, anything and everything there is to learn about us - the human brain, the mind, our thoughts, actions, emotions, and what makes each one of us tick. My deepest passon and goal, of which I also believe is my calling and purpose, is to be a Clinical Psychologist, PhD.
