Ryan Everson
The author of A# Major Music Blog, Ryan Everson, attended Coronado High School just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was Drum Major of the marching band for three years. Ryan was also a four-time member of the Nevada All-State Band/Orchestra, playing Principal Horn in the All-State Orchestra his junior and senior year of high school. During his junior year, Ryan was awarded a full-ride scholarship to the most prestigious high school music camp in America, Interlochen Arts Camp. While at Interlochen, Ryan was Principal Horn of the top band, the Interlochen World Youth Wind Symphony (WYWS), and played horn in WYWS' 1st-chair woodwind Quintet, "The Quintessentials." In his senior year of high school, Ryan was one of only three French horn players in the nation to receive an award from The National YoungArts Foundation, further distinguishing him as one of the nation's elite young horn players. Ryan is now studying Music Performance at Arizona State University with the internationally-renowned author of hornmatters.com, Dr. John Ericson.
